IT Operation Manager / PMO – Commercial Insurance Apps (679552)

For a project at our client ‘s site, an international insurance company based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced IT Operation Manager / PMO – Commercial Insurance Apps. In this role, you will be responsible for managing infrastructure and security related projects in the area of Shared IT Operations Services for Commercial Insurance business applications.


  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar position, ideally in a multi-supplier environment
  • Good technical understanding of IT infrastructure and security related topics
  • Experience in working with teams managing the entire application lifecycle
  • Experience based on best practice frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT or SCRUM
  • Strong skills with MS Office tools, know how in MS Office 365 would be a plus
  • Certification in Project Management (CAPM, PmP, Prince2) and ITIL are preferred
  • Structured and organized way of working, with strong communication skills
  • A hands-on personality with the proven ability to influence and affect change
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a benefit


  • Successfully implement small, or low/medium complexity projects, sub-projects or phases of a larger project
  • Select appropriate processes required to meet the project objectives
  • Establish and maintain appropriate communication and engagement with stakeholders
  • Ensure change readiness of receiving organization
  • Support the sponsor in the setup of the project to ensure that the business case is clearly defined 
  • Allocate resources and manage interdependencies 
  • Develop a detailed project plan 
  • Manage and control project delivery in accordance with time, cost, quality
  • Make sure that product requirements are met and validated
  • Conducts risk management & control, planning, identification, analysis, response planning
