Tax Manager EUCAN m/f/d, Zürich This role will be critical in advising and managing our clients tax position in a selected group of European countries including Eastern Europe. General responsibilities include but are not limited to pro-actively managing the tax audits with the relevant tax authorities in this region on a federal, regional and local level, supervising and ensuring that all tax matters are being properly handled for including but not limited to tax accounting, tax compliance, tax litigation and transfer pricing, providing advice and support to local finance and helping actively educate business partners on relevant changes in tax legislation with material impact on the business. Serving as a trusted partner to the business, this individual will play a key bridge function between the global tax functional leads and finance our clients Business Solutions Hub in the region with the ability to reduce complexity and balance local vs. global considerations.

Your Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain network to business within the countries in scope, analyze tax implications for transactions and provide high quality tax support to business partners such as finance, legal, business development, supply chain, HR, country managers, etc.
- Ensure professional and transparent communication with tax authorities at all time
- Accountable for corporate income tax compliance and tax audit defence within the region including coordination of corporate income tax compliance work with the clients Business Solutions (TBS Tax Solutions) in Poland and the local tax service provider
- Proactively identify, manage and mitigate tax risks
- Actively lead tax audits in the countries in scope including an alignment on information and data requests and liaison with global tax functional leads on audit defence strategy
Streamline and monitor procedure for indirect tax, withholding taxes (if any) and other taxes - Responsible for monitoring legislative changes in the region which will have a material impact on the business or alerting tax planning team on material changes in the business
- Proactively evaluate tax risks and discuss mitigating actions
- Monitor and coordinate transfer pricing adjustments / documentation within the countries in scope in cooperation with Transfer Pricing team
- Review contracts and business initiatives from a tax perspective
Your Profil: - University Degree in accounting/finance/law, master's degree in Economics/Finance or Law Degree, preferably with a specialization in Taxation
- CPA and/or certification as tax specialist (in line with regional industry standards) is a strong plus
- Experience in a tax position, with a minimum of 3 years of experience within the Pharma industry or Big 4 industries
- Experience with the concept of Shared Services is a plus
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and fiscal framework in the region (including in the Eastern Europe)
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting for income taxes
- Strong tax research and presentation skills
- Multilingual (Fluent in one Eastern European language is a plus)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
