Operational Buyer to join their
Supply Chain team for small molecules in
Visp. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring materials and supplier performance align with production needs.
The
Operational Buyer will be responsible for
purchasing raw materials,
managing supplier performance, and
supporting procurement operations within a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities - Proactively monitor and track supplier performance, providing feedback to strategic buyers and category managers.
- Support supplier changes, qualifications, and initiatives led by Category Managers or Site Strategic Buyers.
- Maintain accurate material and vendor master data in SAP (or similar ERP).
- Manage supplier escalations including delivery delays, pricing discrepancies, and missing confirmations.
- Drive improvements in on-time delivery, quality, and supplier compliance.
- Handle vendor returns (RMA, cost recovery, replacements).
- Conduct regular open-order reviews with suppliers.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) inquiries and invoice issues.
- Support internal teams in onboarding and approving new materials and suppliers.
- Execute competitive bid processes and assist in contract negotiations for low-value agreements.
- Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
- Extensive experience in operational purchasing or procurement.
- Strong SAP (or ERP) system expertise.
- Background in purchasing raw materials within manufacturing or pharmaceutical sectors.
- Proven ability to manage supplier performance and negotiations.
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).
