Health Economist (m/f/d) in Global Market Access, you will be part of the Access Evidence Chapter, accountable for delivering evidence enabling the intended market access strategy for the assigned products. In this expert technical role, you will bridge the gap between traditional health economics and cutting-edge technical advances. You will lead the development of cost-effectiveness and budget impact models using advanced R modelling, AI-enabled, transforming complex economic insights into practical healthcare messages for global stakeholders and local markets.

Your Responsibilities: Lead Advanced Modeling:
- Develop and adapt cost-effectiveness and budget impact models using AI to support evidence generation, market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategies in diverse disease areas, e.g. cardiovascular, diabetes, infectious diseases or neurology
Drive AI Innovation:
- Pioneer the use of AI agents and other emerging technologies to automate or enhance aspects of health economic modeling. This includes creating or utilizing AI agents, e.g. to adapt global models to local country settings and HTA requirements
Collaborate & Communicate:
- Communicate complex technical data and concepts effectively to diverse audiences, including senior management and external stakeholders such as health technology assessment (HTA) bodies
Publications:
- Develop related publication plans, and deliver abstracts, publications and external value communications
Monitor Landscape:
- Stay abreast of the latest research and technological advancements in health economics, AI, and diagnostics to drive modeling innovation within the function
Mentorship:
- Act as a coach for colleagues, specifically providing technical training on R-modelling and AI applications
Your Profil: - Master's degree (MSc or MA) in Health Economics, Economics, Public Health, Statistics, or a related quantitative field is required; a PhD is preferred
- Previous professional experience or post-graduate experience in a relevant role
- Ideally a track record of scientific publications
- Demonstrated experience in developing decision-analytic models (e.g., Markov models, discrete-event simulations, partitioned survival models) from scratch
- Strong computer skills including advanced MS Excel modelling (VBA) and R (Open-source programming language) for econometric analysis, data manipulation, and visualization, experience with Python. R is a must
- Familiarity with AI concepts in healthcare - Ideally, experience creating or deploying AI agents for creating cost-effectiveness models or adapting them to local settings
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a matrix environment
