Application Manager m/w/d, Wallis We are looking for an experienced
Application Manager to act as the key liaison between business stakeholders and the IT organization at our Visp site. In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of assigned applications, ensuring they are secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs and IT standards.

Home office: yes, 3 days a week (2 days on-site)
Your Responsibilities - Serve as the primary point of contact between business owners and IT for assigned applications
- Own the end-to-end application lifecycle, including configuration, customization, maintenance, and optimization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective IT solutions
- Ensure applications remain secure, compliant, supported, and up to date
- Manage application performance in line with SLAs and OLAs
- Act as System Owner in accordance with internal governance standards
- Coordinate integration within the IT landscape, including interfaces with other systems
- Maintain and update system documentation (e.g., design specifications)
- Support day-to-day operations, ensuring application stability and availability
- Work closely with internal IT teams (infrastructure, network, security, architecture) and external vendors
- Contribute to IT projects, ensuring delivery aligns with standards and best practices
- Drive innovation through technology scouting, proof of concepts, and proposing new solutions
Your Profile - Strong experience in Application Management and IT System Engineering (5-10 years)
- Solid understanding of system architecture and IT infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with:
- Application lifecycle management (deploy, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot)
- Networks, databases, client-server environments, and IT security
- Familiarity with GxP environments is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional, international environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
- Open, collaborative, and culturally adaptable personality
Qualifications - Fluent German and English
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field (required)
- MCSE or equivalent certification (preferred)
