Quality Assurance Manager m/f/d, Basel-StadtAs Quality Assurance Manager you will make a decisive contribution to quality oversight across the entire production unit. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and continuously optimizing the quality system, always taking into account current legal and internal requirements.
Start date: January 2026
Contract end date: September 2026/may be extended
Responsibilities: - Central contact person for the production companies in all quality issues, from production from raw material release to validations.
- Ensuring quality oversight and GMP compliance in the supervised productions and projects.
- Review, assess and approve manufacturing documentation, both on paper and in the electronic Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Responsibility for the release of manufactured active ingredients.
- Process, assess, and approve deviations, corrective actions (CAPAs), and technical change requests.
- Carry out quality inspections (Q floor walks) as well as self-inspections and support internal audits and inspections by the authorities.
- Active contribution of ideas for the continuous improvement of processes and support in the implementation of them.
Requirements: - Completed university degree in a scientific or engineering field (e.g. biology, chemistry, pharmacy, biotechnology)
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of quality assurance or GMP compliance, in the production of biotechnological active ingredients
- Min. 3 years of experience in a GMP regulated working environment
- Fluent communication in German and English (spoken and written)
- Experienced in dealing with common IT systems in the pharmaceutical industry
